MS teams finish season stong

The 8th grade football team put a final exclamation mark on an outstanding season by defeating Walnut Creek 30-16 last night. Damian Gaines opened the scoring with a 20 yard run, as Alec Bageris connected with a pass to Nathan Lys for the conversion. Mitchell Lys proved to be opportunistic by recovering a fumble in Creek’s endzone for another touchdown. This time, Bageris would pass to Dominique Lewis for the conversion. Bageris and Gaines teamed up again on a 20 yard pass, to add another six points for the Wildcats. Bageris once more showed his passing touch on the conversion to Lewis. Ryan Wexler completed the scoring on a 55 yard run to put the score at 30-0. In the second half, everyone saw lots of playing time, making this a complete team victory. The Cats ended the season at 5-1, and league co-champs.

The JV green and white inner squad scrimmage ended with a 12 to 12 tie.  Coach Sutherland and coach Hansor want to thank the 7 grade team for a great season.
