MS Teams split at home.

The Varsity 8th grade football team improved their record to 3-0 with a 16-12 victory over previously unbeaten Waterford Mason. Alec Bageris opened the scoring on a one yard quarterback sneak for a touchdown, and also completed a two point conversion pass to Nathan Lys. Damian Gaines added to the scoring with a touchdown from three yards out, while Bageris ran in the two point conversion. With the Wildcats up by four points, and just under two minutes left in the game, Danique Lewis came up with a fantastic interception to seal the win. Damian Gaines, Sean Carrell, Brendan Bloom, Yeajoon Lee, and Brad Utterbeck, were outstanding on defense.

The JV football suffered its first loss of the year to Mason MS by the score of 14-6, in a defensive struggle.  Led by Paulo Burgess and Hoah Grier, and Chase Sparling leading the team in tackles.  The wildcats only score came from Kyle Klosterman 55 yard touchdown run in the 3rd quarter to bring the score 8 to 6.  Mason score again in the 4th quarter and the wildcat defense held strong stopping the extra point.  The offense took the ball late in the 4th quart drove the ball to Mason’s 40 yard line and turned the ball over on downs to end the game.
